Lily has managed to obtain a scoop interview with a prominent political figure, but when she arrives at his offices she is kept waiting for a long time. At last, she is shown into a room where she is instructed to wait until someone comes to fetch her, warning her against wandering around the building on her own owing to heightened security. The aide seems to be busy and in a hurry so Lily does not get a chance to quiz him about the location of the restrooms, although she clearly looks distracted as if she needs to go. Left alone in the room, Lily waits, and waits, and although she hears people passing along what sounds like a corridor outside the room, no one comes in to check on her. Her initial desire to pee, which was merely uncomfortable, has now increased to full-blown desperation. Several times when she hears passing voices, Lily calls out to attract attention, but still no one enters. She is sorely tempted to go in search of a bathroom before she has an accident, but recalling the stern warning from the aide against wandering around on her own, Lily obediently stays put and struggles to hold it. By now, however, she is extremely desperate to pee. She can't sit still. She paces back and forth. She is dangerously close to wetting herself. Determined not to humiliate herself, she redoubles her efforts to wait, but she simply can't. She starts to leak, and then loses control completely. Pee streams down her stockings and pools on the floor at her feet. Lily is mortified. What can she do now?
